The Mycenaean Kazarma bridge

θησαυρος ΑτρεωςThe Mycenaean bridge of Kazarma (dimensions 22 X 5.60 X 4 m.) is on the 15th km on the public road from Nafplio to Epidaurus. A monumental construction, typical of the Mycenaean era, it was built with large rough limestones, in the characteristic Mycenaean (cyclopean) way, with no binding material. The bridge of Kazarma was built around 1300 B.C. along a well constructed road that connected Mycenae and Tiryntha with Epidaurus. The bridge of Kazarma is in full use today by the residents of the region.
